All people of faith are encouraged to join a march and rally for immigration reform in Seaside May 1. Marchers will assemble at 3 p.m. at the American Legion Hall, 1000 La Playa Ave., Seaside (corner of Del Monte Blvd. and La Playa).
Organized by local Latino business leaders and supported by LULAC, the march will end at the flagpole on the lawn at Seaside City Hall, corner of Harcourt and Camino Del Rey. Marchers will begin moving out between 3 and 4 p.m., and are expected to arrive at Seaside City Hall at approximately 5 p.m. for the rally and speeches.
The route of the march will go east on La Playa to Fremont, south on Fremont to Harcourt, and west on Harcourt to the lawn in front of City Hall. Those who cannot participate in the march are urged to join the rally at City Hall.
