At today's meeting of Diocesan Council, the Rev. Maly Adams and the Rev.
Suzanne Watson resigned. Maly Adams has served Council as its chair for
over a year; she is resigning in order to devote more time to her ministry
at St. Timothy's, Mountain View. Suzanne Watson is resigning because she is
moving out of the diocese. Council expressed its gratitude to both Maly and
Suzanne for their service. Council will elect a new chair at its June
meeting. New representatives will be elected by Diocesan Convention in
January 2005. At its June meeting, the Standing Committee, as instructed by
the Canons of the Diocese, will appoint two clergy representatives to
interim positions on Council.

At today's meeting Council discussed many issues, including the possibility
of restructuring the Fair Share formula. A diocesan task force, the
Committee to Study the Fair Share, reported on this issue to Convention in
2001. The report of the Committee will be posted on the diocesan web site.
