Events Calendar: Preparing for Our Diocesan Future

(1) Living into the Future: Embracing the Possibilities
For: all laity and clergy of the Diocese
Saturday, November 13 at St. Paul’s, Salinas - 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
(Speakers: the Rev. Ron Reed and Mr. Dale Simison)

This Conference is the first in a series of events in which we will work to update the mission and vision of our diocese. This first meeting will help us

• develop an understanding of shared ministry

• engage clergy and laity in group process

• share expectations for the process to establish our core values, vision and mission

Advance registration is most helpful and will assure you lunch.
Working lunch provided ($5 donation accepted)

(2) Tri-Deanery Meetings to review the Proposed 2005 Budget
For: all lay and clergy delegates to Convention
on Tuesday, November 9 at St. Paul’s, Salinas - 7 p.m.
or Sunday, November 14 at St. James, Paso Robles - 2 p.m.
or Tuesday, November 16 at St. Edward’s, San Jose - 7 p.m.
(Presenter: Diane Lovelace, Chair of Diocesan Council)

These Tri-Deanery meetings will enable delegates to hear and respond to a presentation on the Proposed Budget which will be brought to Convention in January. The proposed budget has been prepared by the Budget Committee of Diocesan Council to support diocesan mission and ministry in 2005, a transitional year in our diocesan life. Questions welcome and invited.

Copies of the Narrative Budget for Mission have been mailed to all congregations in the diocese.
