All of the members of the Standing Committee wish to thank Donna Ross for her leadership during the past 15 months.  It has been a joy to work with her.  Everyone in the Diocese of El Camino Real has been the beneficiary of the fruits of her spirituality, love, generosity, and wisdom. The enormous amount of time and effort Donna has spent on behalf of the diocese is overwhelming: countless hours commuting on 101 and in Seaside during this time.  Donna, you have been a blessing in so many ways.  Thank you from all of us.  

The History meetings held in the various deanery gatherings are complete and a summary will be posted on the web. These summaries demonstrate there is much to be proud of.   We have learned a lot about ourselves in the past few months and will be sharing that and more at our meetings in April, June and September.  The completed history timeline, filled in by all of us at convention and these meetings, will be posted at St. Andrews in Saratoga at the conference on April 23.  

The bishop has concluded his meetings with the deacons and is currently meeting with the rest of the clergy.  Meetings will be held with the laity and the bishop on three separate Saturdays between now and August.  More information will be forthcoming when the final arrangements have been made. 

 
The Conference Planning Team enthusiastically invites you to attend the April 23 conference.  On that day we will share our stories, discover what gives life to the diocese and what we can do to enable our people to be the best they can be.  Through the telling of our stories we will discover our values, purpose and what has meaning for us.  This is the first in a series of three meetings so also save the dates of June 18 and September 17. The information gathered at these meetings will enable us as a diocese to ultimately develop our mission statement and objectives in preparation for electing our new bishop.

NOTE:  The Job Posting for the Interim Diocesan Youth Minister has been extended until April 13.  See the ECR website or call Susan or Brian at 831-394-4465.  This temporary part-time position will coordinate diocesan youth activities.
