The Standing Committee would like to keep you informed as our Diocese makes progress towards an agreement with Bishop Shimpfky.

The Standing Committee is participating in the Joint Retirement Committee.  Delegates from Corporation, Diocesan Council, and Standing Committee met on November 19 and November 22 to begin work as the Joint Retirement Committee, which is charged with the task of developing and negotiating a mutually acceptable retirement agreement between the Bishop and the Diocese.

Mr. John Ezell, Treasurer of the Diocese, and Mr. Beck Grabau represent the Corporation.  Mr. Robert Pomeroy and Ms. Diane Lovelace represent the Diocesan Council.  The Rev. Joan Gardner and the Rev. Donna Ross, Secretary of the Standing Committee, represent the Standing Committee.  John Ezell has been elected Chair of the JRC and Donna Ross has been elected Secretary. 

The Joint Retirement Committee has scheduled additional meetings for early December.
